Our Barcelona hostels were featured 2 times this week in the Barcelona based newspaper Ara. For those of you who don’t speak Catalan, the articles discuss the current state of hostels in Barcelona and their impact on local communities, traditional environment and cultural atmosphere of the various neighborhoods of Barcelona – Basically, the impact of tourism on the traditional Barcelona way of life.
We strongly believe that without the local traditions and unique Barcelones way of life that is found in the small neighborhood, quiet plazas, and quaint street-side cafes far away from the super-touristy areas, Barcelona would cease to be the amazing city that it is.
