Here are some unique things to do in Barcelona
Barcelona is filled with awesome sights to explore, delicious tapas to eat and unique spots to find. Here are some non-popular spots that you should definitely take a look at!
Sercotel Rosellón & Eleven BCN
If you are looking for a way to see amazing views of the city and famous landmarks while enjoying some tapas and a drink, this is a must! Two hotels that have some of the greatest views are the Sercotel Rosellón and Eleven BCN.
The Sercotel Rosellón hotel has a rooftop terrace that overlooks the city, but most importantly the Sagrada Familia, which is Barcelona’s most famous monument. You are able to order drinks to enjoy while taking in the amazing views. It is important to make a reservation for the rooftop terrace ahead of time, as it gets booked up quickly.
The other hotel with 360-degree views of the city is Eleven BCN. The rooftop terrace overlooks the ocean, the city, and the mountains. What could be better? Enjoy some tasty tapas and some of the best cocktails to enhance your experience even more!
Good Tips:
Ciutadella Park & Guinardo Park
Ciutadella Park and Guinardo Park are great places to spend a sunny day in Barcelona that tend to be forgotten by visitors. Both parks are full of the most amazing greenery as well.
The Ciutadella Park is free to enter and has many different activities to offer! These activities include a Zoo, the Cascada Monumental, the Catalan Parliament building, and the Museu d’Art Modern. Even if you are just looking for a nice place to relax outdoors or a place to have a picnic with friends, Ciutadella Park is a great option!
Park Guinardo is known for its three striking areas located in the el Guinardó neighborhood. These different areas are the urban area, the historical area, and the top area, which is known for its vast woodlands. From all parts of the park, you are able to see 360 degree views of Barcelona’s city and the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The park is very popular amongst runners and hikers because of the various trails that are included. It is an amazing place to escape the commotion of the city, and you will find there are few people who visit this secret gem. It makes for a relaxing experience with some of the best views in Barcelona. We highly recommend a visit to Park Guinardo!
Good Tips:
Labyrinth Park
Labyrinth Park is the oldest in the city and is known for the park’s hedge maze. Along with the maze you can find historical gardens, statues, and a waterfall. Another great place with amazing views! Make sure to go on a Wednesday or Sunday to get in for free, or be prepared to pay a small fee of around three euros. We highly recommend these parks to enjoy a beautiful afternoon in Barcelona and take in the surrounding nature!
Good Tips:
Bunkers Del Carmel
Bunkers Del Carmel is a hidden gem in the upper part of Turo de la Rovira. You can get some of the best panoramic views of Barcelona’s city here, that include views of the city and water, while being in the mountains! It is possible to reach the Bunkers with public or private transportation to make the journey a little easier, but walking is also an option. The climb is worth the amazing panoramic views and it is free of charge and open 24 hours! It is very popular to bring a bottle of wine and sandwiches to enjoy the views, especially the sunset up in the Bunkers. We highly recommend a visit to experience these breathtaking views.
