The announcement was scheduled for this morning. It’s the HOSCARs – the most prestigious awards in the hostel industry.
Our offices were on edge at full attention on the awards: no emails, no check-ins, no new reservations, no checking our Facebook, Instagram, Twitters. Nothing!
We were all on the edge of our seats waiting for the news. There was total silence. No one dared move. On the other side of the room there was a noise, the creak of a chair. Everyone looked to see what it was. Then we looked back, attention on the award announcements.

It’s the HOSCARs are the most prestigious awards in the hostel industry. Every year the folks over at Hostelworld tally up the ratings and reviews of the previous year, crunch the numbers and come up with the winners for various hostel categories. It all comes down to the votes, the guest reviews and ratings. It all depends on you, our customers. We owe it all to you!
